In June 2011 we were awarded a Big Lottery Grant for £9000 for the refurbishment of the gym/sports hall at the GYCA.
All users of the hall were invited to a meeting to discuss what they would like to see done by way of improvements to the hall and the result is fantastic.
We have repaired the damaged walls, fitted new lighting, replaced the fire exit doors, refurbished the heating units, decorated throughout, taken the ‘hump’ out of the floor, laid new flooring with lines for badminton, purchased new badminton posts and nets etc.
